The Hard Truth About Food Insecurity — at our local level:
Food insecurity is a significant issue in some areas of the Bronx and lower Westchester County, New York — both regions in which we are committed to serving. Severe economic disparity, high poverty rates, and limited access to affordable nutritious foods can be most effectively alleviated by community-level initiatives and local collaboration.

A Web Of Support
Where food waste coexists with those in need — we strive to recover surpluses to nourish our neighbors and be a source of positive impact in the communities we serve.
Web of Partnership
Our database will provide a listing of local grocers, farms and schools who have excess food to rescue. Our app (launching soon) will also provide daily food inventories & listings of food pantries and other candidate organizations who would benefit from food rescue. Codifying food need and availability will make our system more effective because all our parties can see one another.
Gathering & Delivering Surplus
Finding ways to transport rescued food is a challenge. We solicit and provide volunteers to pick up and deliver food to pantries.
Nourishing Our Communities
Recovering and redistributing food is how we weave our web connection within the community. Together, we can create a world where surplus food becomes a lifeline for those in need — contributing to a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
